Why Give?
Giving is first and foremost an expression of faith in God and love for God. It is a way of giving thanks to God for Jesus Christ, for daily love and blessings, for the wisdom that guides us on our life’s journey. As United Methodists, we follow in a long tradition of giving that extends back to the founders of our denomination, the Wesleys, and further back in the Christian tradition, based on earlier Jewish traditions of giving andtithing. The Wesleys were generous with the poor. When they formed a Christian group at Oxford University, they encouraged the members of the “Holy Club” to fast periodically and donate their food money to help the poor. We encourage those who love God and Mamaroneck UMC to give in many different ways: giving of time, using talents for God’s glory, and giving financially. An opportunity to make a pledge is given each year. You may decide to give a one-time gift to our church or to give regularly. All forms of giving are deeply appreciated, and we believe that the giver is blessed as well through the act of giving. It feels good to give!
Ministries You Support
Our mission of Loving God and Neighbor as ourselves involves serving others near and far. We cannot do this without your financial support. You provide the funds that make possible our ministry of serving the poor; changing lives; transforming communities; and renewing the church.Thank you for your continued support of the Mamaroneck United Methodist Church and its ministries.
 
  • We offer assistance to the hungry in our local community
  • We offer assistance to the homeless in New York City
  • We offer assistance to family and loved ones of the incarcerated
  • We offer assistance to agricultural programs in Africa
  • We offer assistance to orphans and the poor in Nicaragua
  • We offer two worship services each Sunday to members and visitors in the local community
  • We offer traditional and contemporary music at our worship services
  • We offer Christian Education programs for children, youth and adults
 
Ways to Donate
There are three ways to give. If you would like your gift to be designated for a specific purpose such as the building fund or our outreach ministries, please indicate that on your check or in the memo line on your online donation.

1]  In-Person: You may drop your donation in the offering plate during our Sunday worship services.

 
2]  Donate Online: Your donation will be automatically withdrawn from your checking, savings or credit card account.

First time online donor? – If you are a first time online donor you will have the choice of registering online as a recurring donor or simply as a one-time donor. 

  • Recurring Donor – If you plan to make your pledges online or give online periodically to our church you may want to register your banking information to our secure system.  You can register online by using the Create your Profile button on the giving page.  Or, you may choose to register offline.  To do so download, complete the Online Donation Authorization Form and send it to the church office for registration. You will be notified when your account registration is completed.  Then you can begin online donation. 

 

  • One-Time Donor – If you are a one-time or infrequent donor you do not have to register your bank information.  You will be prompted to enter your banking information each time you donate online because your banking information will not be saved to our system.

3]  Checks/Money Order by Mail: If you wish to mail your donation, please do not mail cash.  Send your check or money order payable to Mamaroneck United Methodist Church, 546 East Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck, New York 10543.
