This Council, under the guidance and leadership of the Pastor and Council Chair, oversees the ministries and programs of the church and is responsible for the development of the church’s mission and vision statements. All of the church’s work is toward the end of making disciples of Jesus Christ and manifesting the Kingdom of God in the world today through living out Christ’s values. |

Staff Parish Relations Committee (SPRC) The Staff Parish Relations Committee is, in essence, the church’s personnel committee. SPRC acts as a liason between the congregation and its staff and clergy. The committee works to ensure good relations between clergy, staff, and congregation, and effective teamwork for the glory of God. The committee sets employment policy, hires and evaluates support staff, and recommends salary for all staff to the Council. It is the liason between the congregation and the District Superintendent with respect to the pastoral appointment, which is reviewed annually by the Bishop with input from each church’s SPRC and Pastor. Pastors are appointed here by the Bishop, not hired by the church, but a consultative process with the church’s SPRC takes place annually. At the time of a pastoral appointment change, the SPRC is the first group to meet with the new pastor and the District Superintendent, and the Chairperson of SPRC is the one to make the announcement to the church at the appropriate time designated by the Superintendent. The SPRC are responsible for creating a mutually supportive atmosphere for staff and congregation and for interpreting to the congregation the goals and priorities negotiated with staff for their work so as to avoid misunderstanding and keep all informed. |

We provide care to families who have experienced a loss, as well as reaching out to those who are absent from worship over a period of time. Meals are often provided to households when a family member is in the hospital, going through medical treatments, or has experienced a loss. |
